Cycle to work scheme is an employee benefit that saves you 25-39% on a bike and accessories. You pay nothing upfront and the payments are taken tax efficiently from your salary by our payroll team.
We initially offered £300 towards the scheme for colleagues to purchase a bike, but we are delighted to announce this has now been increased to £1000!
The advantages of cycling to work are that it is cheap, often faster than driving, and very very healthy – if you can handle British weather – and you know there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
You pick a bike or bikes (can be children’s bikes or even a bike for your partner!); or a bike and accessories (helmet, waterproof jacket, children’s seat on your bike, bike trailer, lock, chain, water bottle, cycle shorts etc.) or just the accessories, get a quote, you complete a loan form, accounts will pay for it over the phone, and you collect your stuff, and pay it back over 1 year, saving all the tax you would have paid on your income before taking the value of the bike and stuff off.
For example, if your salary is around £15,000 and the bike package you have chosen is £500, you could save £125. This is a no interest loan, paid before tax so anyone who pays tax and/or national insurance saves the tax on the cost.
