For many years the company have contributed 1 hour of pay for time spent at the monthly staff meetings, before that the staff meetings weren’t paid separately at all, just included as part of the “package” as they are still in schools. We are delighted to introduce an increase in paid time for staff meetings from 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
Staff meetings are without doubt very valuable opportunities for updating each other, for training and for discussions and I’m sure you will agree, it is essential that everyone attends. However, many staff meetings take longer than an hour and we would like to thank all those who have stayed on over the years, this kind of commitment contributes to making your nurseries a better place to work at can make all the difference to all colleagues, parents and children.
A big focus for 2020 is nursery occupancy, so perhaps the best way to increase occupancy is for you to all meet as a nursery during this extra paid time and discuss what you can do as a team, and as individuals – is it first impressions, quality, reputation, networking, events or brand awareness? Perhaps the individuals doing the bookings can report back to you what the occupancy is so you can track your progress? Can you produce a SMART Occupancy Action Plan?
We have decided that the company will pay for 1.5 hours for your next staff meeting in order to help you work out what to do –
