On Saturday 7th October, over 200 individuals attended a ‘roaring twenties’ themed evening, to recognise and celebrate the achievements of over 500 Hadland Care Group staff during 2017.
205 colleagues from across the group’s three companies attended the event hosted at Bournemouth Marriott Highcliffe Hotel. Staff from Tops Day Nurseries, Aspire Training Team and Reside Care Homes travelled from over 23 locations in based across Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire to attend.
During the presentation, 20 awards were given to individuals for going ‘Above and Beyond the Call of Duty’, “abcd” awards, of which colleagues were able to nominate each other. These were presented with heart-warming accolades and inspirational stories. Four Health and Safety awards were also given to colleagues at Tops Day Nurseries Based in Boscombe, Taunton, Lymington and Newport – IOW.
Five new awards were introduced this year, three of which were presented on behalf of Aspire Training team to award their chosen level 1, 2 and 3 learner of the year. The remaining two were presented by Tops Day Nurseries, who introduced the Most Inspirational manager and Area Manager.

Maintenance – Phil Stokes

Head Office – Zoe Roberts
Zoe has had a tough year with the management changes but through it all, Zoe has only become more confident & is amazing in her role. Zoe has invested a lot of time in her apprentice which is reflected in Lucy’s performance. Zoe has attended many events at last minute to support the nurseries. Even with all the changes in the marketing dept, Zoe has always remained a huge support to the admin team, especially earlier this year, I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. Tops Boscombe – Stephanie Ridleagh
Steph is an inspirations member of the team, she is always supportive of her colleagues and has great relationships with the children and their families. She has been an amazing mentor and steps above her role as deputy whenever needed.
Tops Bournemouth – Georgia Molyneux-Wallen
I feel that since she has got her new role, she has worked really hard to adapt the changes and is always very helpful within the office. She is always willing to take on challenges and learn new tasks! Well done and keep up the good work!
Kayleigh Rogers – You do an amazing job with your 1:1 child and help the room run a lot smoother by working so well with him and helping him learn and progress with every day he spends with you, the bond you two share is amazing and an inspiration to all staff.
Tops Lymington – Mags Pritchett
Mags is always there to offer support whenever needed, she is friends with everyone, really hard working, has a heart of gold and I know she would always be there if ever I needed her for anything. If something needs doing she has usually already done it before you get a chance too and she would never expect to be nominated for the award as she always puts everyone else’s needs and wants above her own!
Debbie Attrill – Debbie is a wonderful room manager and a delight to work with. She is always coming up with innovative and creative ideas to challenge and teach our children and loves them all as if they were her own.
Sophie Wright – Because she is a fantastic, hardworking member of our team. She is always driven to do her best and to help others when they need it.
Tops Parkstone – Bonnie Budden
Bonnie has grown into a fantastic practitioner this year and continues to provide top quality care! Bonnie is a great all-rounder, she’s easy to get on with, the children love her and makes my son laugh and enjoy nursery.
Tops Poole – Amy Drudge
Amy always goes above and beyond got her job role. Always staying to complete tasks and set up activities. Always willing to help anyone who requires help, and never expects anything in return. Amy does so much more, yet words cannot describe it. She may think what she does goes unnoticed, but I would like her to know it hasn’t.

Tops Winchester – Bianca Happle
Bianca is always supportive in the room! She always give good advice on how to adapt activities. Bianca is so caring and always full of smiles and her interactions with the children is outstanding! She is always willing to help staff whenever she can and always makes new staff settle in and feel a part of the team. You have been a big inspiration and an amazing role model to me. Tops Corfe Mullen – Charlotte Richardson
Charlotte makes work really enjoyable. Charlotte always goes above and beyond to make sure the room is perfect and the children are happy. Charlotte is going to make an amazing room manager.
Reside: Stour Road – Claire Ward
Nothing is ever too much trouble, Claire is always willing to help. Claire shows what ‘caring’ really means and is truly the heart of Stour Road.
Alison Burnett – For always going above and beyond to help everyone that she possibly can and doing her best to ensure all the children are enjoying themselves and having a good fun filled learning day at nursery. So I would just like to thank you for all your help and guidance
Nicole Jordan – Nicole is a very bubbly individual and always brings positivity to the setting. She makes strong relationships with every child despite being based in only one of two rooms and ensures they are happy and comfortable, always. Nicole offers support to every staff member when needed and puts 100% into everything relating to work.
34 staff members were awarded 100% attendance awards, 7 of which were presented with £50 voucher, whilst those with 5 years received an £100 voucher.
