Nearly 300 of our employees attended our annual awards night in November 2015 with the theme this year of ‘Glitz and Glamour’. The ceremony was held in Bournemouth and is an annual event to recognise and reward the achievements of our Hadland Care Group employees during 2015.
The group is made up of Tops Day Nurseries, Aspire Training Team and Reside Care Homes and employs over 500 staff in 21 locations across Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire.
A total of 22 ‘abcd’ awards were given to employees for going ‘Above and Beyond the Call of Duty’. Colleagues nominate each other in the lead up to the ceremony and the winners are presented with trophy’s as well as hearing heart-warming and inspirational stories about why they were nominated. This year we also saw two Health and Safety awards presented to individuals at Tops Bournemouth, based in the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
Each year a ‘Directors Award’ is also presented and this year saw Diane Wycherley, Operations Manager for Tops Day Nurseries, awarded for her outstanding contributions. Praise for Diane included one comment from a colleague, “Diane is always there to listen when times are hard and keeps me motivated ensuring I continue to develop my practice and believe in myself.”
Cheryl Hadland, Managing Director of Hadland Care Group, said: “Our latest addition to our family of nurseries has been Baby Grows in Gillingham, who joined us in August of this year. We were delighted to have Baby Grows employees join us tonight for their first Awards Night to help celebrate the successes across all our settings. We can only achieve this success due to the employees we have and that’s why the Awards Nights are so important and is one of the highlights of my year. I chose Diane Wycherley to receive the Director’s Award for her inspirational dedication and professionalism throughout 2015.”
Diane Wycherley, Operations Manager of Tops Day Nurseries, said: “Our Operations Manager is currently on maternity leave and so in her absence I have been stepping up and covering her role. It has been a wonderful challenge and I’m so proud to have won this award.”
