BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT

Location: Can be based anywhere in the UK – Fully remote

Hours: 40hrs per week/Full Time

Salary: £30,118 per annum

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Aspire Training team are based in Bournemouth and operate throughout the south of England delivering  apprenticeships in Childcare, Business Administration, Customer Service and Leadership & Management, as well as short courses. Aspire Training team is a Grade 2 Ofsted provider and has achieved its Investors in People recognition as well as the Beacon Award for Training Excellence!

Reporting to the Business Development Manager for the company, you will be responsible for completing sales meetings and securing the sales of our apprenticeships and training courses. This includes over the phone and via Zoom/Skype or similar.

Key Duties of this role will involve:

  • Generating leads using internet searching, social media and attend networking events to identify potential areas for sales opportunities locally and nationally
  • Contact prospective employers to discuss and sell our short courses and privately funded apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Arrange account management appointments to encourage repeat business with employers across Devon, Hants, Dorset, and Somerset & Wiltshire if required. (Not currently a requirement to travel to meetings but may be a requirement in the future).
  • Regular communication with the recruitment team to review the progress of your client’s apprenticeship vacancies and keep employers up to date.
  • Track and trend reasons for an enquiry not transpiring into a new sale and form objection handling strategies.
  • Perform delegated marketing, sales and PR activities to promote courses and apprenticeships, working closely with the Marketing Manager and Administrator to execute these.
  • Maintain the Client Management System accurately and prepare monthly reports on a range of activities.

Your Skills and Experience: 

  • We are looking for a very experienced salesperson with experience of working towards and achieving targets.
  • You will ideally have worked within a similar role previously and have previous knowledge of apprenticeship and traineeship funding and requirements, alongside having previously worked with external agencies i.e. Skills Funding, Job Centre Plus, Local Councils and Boroughs etc.
  • You must have previous B2B experience and have previously worked in a client facing sales role
  • Proven experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets, maximising opportunities to drive in business
  • You will have knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
  • Proficient experience of using Microsoft packages, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and CRM systems.
