Job description:

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join Cherry Tree Montessori as a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice.

Cherry Tree Montessori nursery is located in Ashley Heath about 3 miles from Ringwood and about ½ mile from St Ives. The nursery is on the smallest High Street in the country in a grade 2 listed building with around ½ acre of well laid out gardens. The natural surroundings allow the children to play and explore safely.

Our approach to learning follows Maria Montessori’s philosophy of encouraging children to develop individually in a happy, friendly and caring environment. We are also getting accreditation for becoming a Curiosity Approach setting an environment that fosters natural curiosity and creativity.

The ultimate aim of Montessori principals of practical life is to lead the child to physical and intellectual independence; this is specifically where we give the child what he or she needs to prepare himself/herself for life.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Caring for and providing a stimulating learning environment for children
• Effectively communicating with parents, carers, staff and other professionals
• Engaging in reflective practice and implementing new effective strategies for teaching and learning
• Being aware of and implementing strategies to safeguard all children
• Ability to independently manage observation, assessment and planning cycle for children

Qualities Required;

• The ideal candidate will be kind, caring and have a passion to work with children in the early years.

Hours;

• Cherry Tree Montessori is open from 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed

Requirements;

• You must be able to gain a clear DBS and two suitable references 
• Have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent is desired
