Job description:

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Blooming Kids Day Nursery as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.

We are a small, Ofsted rated Good, nursery offering spaces for children aged 6 months – 5 years. We are located on Winchester road, a five minute walk from Andover town centre and bus station.

Your duties and responsibilities would include:

• Supporting children with personal care
• Supporting with feeding and snacks
• Preparing activities for the children
• Participating in activities with the children
• Helping with messy play
• Working with other team members to keep the setting clean and tidy
• Must be willing to get involved
• Adhering to safeguarding procedures
• Keeping the children safe at all times
• Following health and safety procedures
• Observing children
• Interacting with parents

Hours:

• For this position the candidate would be working a minimum of 30 hours per week, with shifts between the setting’s opening hours of 8.00am and 18.00pm

Requirements:

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is essential for this role
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
