Job description:

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Kaleidoscope Nursery as a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at Kaleidoscope Nursery and Preschool within a friendly team in the heart of Sherborne,

The setting accommodates children up to 5 years, with a large garden area and large sensory room. The children are accommodated in 2 preschool rooms, 2 baby rooms, 1 toddler room and a dining room.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Supporting children with personal care
• Supporting with feeding and snacks
• Preparing activities for the children
• Participating in activities with the children
• Helping with messy play
• Working with other team members to keep the setting clean and tidy
• Must be willing to get involved
• Adhering to safeguarding procedures
• Keeping the children safe at all times
• Following health and safety procedures.
• Observing children
• Interacting with parents

Requirements:

• You must be able to obtain a clear DBS
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent

Hours:

• For this position the candidate would be working a minimum of 30 hours per week, with shifts between the setting’s opening hours of 8.00am and 17.30pm
