Job description:

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a passionate, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Ashgrove Park Day Nursery as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice to be based in their Baby Room.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Childcare apprenticeship within a fantastic setting, learning from experienced childcare professionals.

Our day nurseries provide resources, opportunities, experiences and activities to meet each child’s individual needs.

We aim to provide a stimulating, spacious and secure ‘home-from-home’ environment inside and out. This encourages our children to develop skills in the seven areas of learning as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The happiness and wellbeing of the children in our care is our primary aim. This includes making sure every child receives an individually-tailored, enjoyable and challenging learning and development experience.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

• Care and support the welfare of babies
• Looking after 9 babies a day within a small team
• Supporting with nappy changing
• Completing observations and assessments
• Supporting with meal times
• Attending staff meetings

Hours;

• The successful candidate will be required to work 43 hours per week and be flexible with working shift patterns between the settings opening times of 08:15-17:45

Requirements;

• A level 2 Childcare qualification is required for this role.
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS.
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
