Job description:

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Phoenix Childcare, as a Level 5 Childcare Apprentice, training to become a Room Leader.

Based in Ellacombe, Torquay, Phoenix Childcare provide quality, affordable and integrated childcare, education and family support while working in partnership with the families of children in their care to ensure that they meet each child’s needs.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include;

• Supporting the manager – as the potential candidate will work towards becoming a team leader within the setting
• To be reliable, honest and have to passion to making a difference
• To have great communication skills
• Developing professional relationships with parents/carers 
• Deliver and collect school children who are attending before and after school club 

Qualities required;

• To apply for this essential role, you should be a highly motivated individual with excellent childcare skills who is able to work independently
• You must also be driven and dedicated to helping children, with a passion for working in early years care
• Have a genuine passion and care for our children and parents helping to provide them with the best start in life
• You will also need to possess excellent language skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Be inspirational (whilst not minding getting a little bit muddy and glittery along the way)!
• This role suits someone who doesn’t mind embracing their inner child

Hours;

• Phoenix Childcare offer a day nursery provision running from 07:30-18:00 on an all year round basis.
• The successful candidate would be expected to work a 37.5 hours per week with various shift patterns as the setting also hold before and after school club.

Requirements;

• Level 3 Childcare Qualification 
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
