Experience | At least 2 years childcare experience within the Early Years Foundation Stage
Experience of managing a unit within a similar setting |
2 years’ experience of managing a unit |
Knowledge and understanding | Strong understanding of the EYFS
Aware of how to identify gaps in children’s learning and development
Maintaining accurate records of children development
Monitoring accident trends
Effectively creating activities meeting the individual needs of the children and able to tailor these to ability and age
How to create a stimulating environment

Good understanding of leadership and management
Knowledge of Health and Safety
Keeping up to date with current practise by reading the relevant magazines and books |
