An internally conducted Colleague Survey measured over 200 colleague responses to find out more about the workforce that drives Hadland Care Group- the umbrella company for Aspire Training Team and Tops Day Nurseries.
A huge part of the Hadland ethos is sustainability.
It’s easy to see how we implement eco-sustainable practices in our nurseries, and we are delighted that 95% of our colleagues agree that it is important for Tops Day Nurseries to promote sustainable living to our children. A phenomenal 97% of our Tops team told us that teaching the children about the environment, their health, and how to best look after both, was something they looked forward to every day!
The vast majority of our team at Hadland Care Group placed a high priority on the ecological impact of their employer when choosing their career. 93% of our colleagues told us that they prized HCG’s commitment to becoming a leader in sustainability, and valued the work that we do with our local communities.
One of the ways we encourage sustainability is through the availability, and promotion, of recycling facilities- including separate collections for food waste, and washable cleaning cloths. As an employer, we promote the importance of recycling on a regular basis. However, the responsibility also lies with our colleagues- and we are delighted that 93% of our team told us they make a conscious effort to be as sustainable as possible in their daily routine! Some of the sustainable practices mentioned include recycling, upcycling, and refusing single-use plastics. Many colleagues also provided some fantastic feedback and suggestions on how the company could become even more sustainable… we will definitely be looking in to these!
While 98% of our colleagues reported that their current diet contains meat, fish, and dairy, over half then went on to say that they were looking into ways to reduce their use of animal produce, and changing their diet towards being more plant-based.
Our colleague’s views on sustainability practices highlights how each and every member of our team drives the vision and values of Hadland Care Group.
